World Book Week

Book characters
There were some fantastic book characters in Year Three today! Well done to everybody who made the effort to dress up for World Book Day.
Library Visit

Books from home
Today some of us brought in our favourite books from home. We had a lovely time sharing and discussing our books with our friends. We love reading in our Bluebirds class.
Book Week competition
Today we took part in Mrs Sabir’s Book Week competition to write a blurb for our class book. Here are some of our entries:
Book sharing
This morning we really enjoyed working with children in Year 5. We spent some time reading with each other and discussing our books. We hope we get to do this again sometime!
Teacher swap!
To start National Book Week, all of the teachers swapped classes this morning and read a story. We enjoyed Miss Birmingham coming to see us and we really liked listening to one of her favourite stories.
Book Fair Browsing
We had a lovely time yesterday afternoon browsing the books for sale at the Book Fair. We all saw lots of lovely things that we would like to buy.
The Book Fair is open after school every night until Tuesday.
Flip books
We made our own flip books of circus characters. We had to turn the outline of a person into different characters from a circus which we then cut into three parts – head, body and legs. We stapled them together to make a book. Then we had a lot of fun mixing up the character’s outfits!
