Today we learnt about a type of poem called a Calligram.
A Calligram is designed so that the words in the poem are illustrated and written to reflect their meaning.
Check out some of our Calligrams we wrote today!
Today we painted our Egyptian death masks.
We used gold paint as an Egyptian sarcophagus had a layer of gold over it.
Then we painted the features in black before finally using typical colours of red and blue to paint patterns around the edge.
Today we discussed what it means to feel happy.
In our circle time we talked about what being happy means and what it looks like. Then we discussed what happiness felt like and a time in our life when we have felt it the most.
We drew a timeline of our lives with moments when we can remember feeling happy.
Today we have been sculpting Egyptian death masks out of clay.
We have been following a design we have created based on the study of a range of Egyptian death masks.
We look forward to painting them later this week!
Year 3 have started competing in Lewis’ Spellodrome Competition today.
We are collecting points while learning our Year 3 common exception words!
