In English, the Bluebirds in year 3 are writing a non-chronological report about portia spiders.

We have started by writing an introduction to our report. In the introduction, we have told the reader what the report is about and included a question to engage the reader. When writing about portia spiders, we have used expanded noun phrases and subject specific, formal language.
